Intimate Partner Violence Training

Hello all,

Recently, there was a report that was issued to CACCF from The Domestic Violence Death Review Committee through the Office of the Chief Coroner. CACCF is fully committed to implementing 100% of the recommendations of the Domestic Violence Death Review Committee.

Effective December 1, 2021, ALL re-certifications are required to have 2 Intimate Partner Violence Training Sessions in order to recertify. This will mean that of your 40 hours that you take every 2 years, 2 must be completed. This MUST be the trainings we mention to qualify.

CACCF has formed a partnership with our friends at the Last Door Recovery Society and will be paying cost of trainings for you.

You will be required to attend 1 training per year. We will be offering 2 trainings per year so that you can ensure you can take part to update your skills on Intimate Partner Violence. Again, there is NO COST to you for the trainings.

Registration is REQUIRED and your attendance will be tracked and recorded in your profile to ensure compliance with this new Certification Requirement. This requirement is Canada wide.

We have conducted our first training on May 3, 2022. Please watch this page for updates about future trainings to be announced.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to CACCF Executive Director Crystal Smalldon directly at

Thank you for your compliance with this change and to your continued hard work in the field.
