CACCF Annual General Meeting

Request from IC&RC (Job Task Analysis for Alcohol and Drug Counselor examination).
A Job Task Analysis (JA) is the methodical process of determining what tasks are important in a profession and understanding the frequency with which these tasks are performed. A JTA study is the process that links an examination directly to the job. The goal of a JTA is to define the content that is valid for assessment on an examination.

The first phase of a JTA is gathering information about the roles and tasks associated with an Alcohol and Drug Counselor or ADC. As such, IC&RC is seeking the help of Alcohol and Drug Counselors around the world to assist with the review and update of the current content outline. It is our hope that your board would be willing to send an invitation to Alcohol and Drug Counselors within your country to assist IC&RC with this project. Holding an IC&RC credential is not necessary to work on this project; only knowledge and experience in the field. The ability to communicate in English is also necessary.

We would love as much input from our non-US based boards to move forward with a content outline that is entirely accessible to Alcohol and Drug Counselors worldwide. Your board and staff are also welcome to participate in this review process. No travel is necessary and continuing education credits will be awarded to those who assist with the review. interested professionals contact the CACCF Office  by Friday, May 17th for further instructions.
