For those who are interested in Certification with Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation, the Educational Institution listings below (Universities, Colleges and Institutions) indicate pre-approved degree, diploma or certification programs with the CACCF.

For current Members who already hold a CACCF Certification who require Continuing Educational Units (CEUs) for recertification, the Educational listings in the second column below (Educational Organizations and Course Providers ), indicate pre-approved courses, workshops and webinars for the required CEUs for recertification.

Course providers:
All new Continuing Education Unit courses or workshops must be submitted for assessment and approval utilizing the Application for Continuing Education Hours form. Please submit the form and relevant course/workshop overview material to the CACCF (contact information). Effective January 1st, 2013, the fee to process an application will increase from $35.00 to $50.00 per application.
Current Members:
Members who are attending an educational event not listed or pre-approved on the CACCF Calendar of Events must also submit and justify the CEU hours also utilizing the Application for Continuing Education Hours form. ($50.00 fee does not apply to current members attending the event).

The Board of Directors of the CACCF are reviewing of the present Curriculum Review Application process for Universities, Colleges and recognized Educational Institutions. The review will be examining present standards for agencies who offer diplomas and certificates that meet all of the educational requirements for students seeking CACCF certifications. The review will also examine currently approved agencies already listed and approved by the CACCF.
Present providers already approved by the CACCF Curriculum Review, will remain approved. Sufficient notice will be giving to previously approved providers in the event the CACCF requires your present curriculum must be updated to meet and future changes.

meet the criteria for "core" CEUs by the CACCF Recertification Committee. They are either "pre-approved" or recommended as "eligible" for "core" CEUs.
Pre-approved courses have been submitted to the CACCF Committee and are guaranteed to be approved for members upon certification.
