Online Members Listing
As requested by many of our Members and in keeping with our ongoing development of the CACCF Web Site, we are in the progress of creating an online listing of all Members by Province and City/Town. Your preferences (that all Members have selected with their membership renewal) will determine how your listing will appear.

A typical listing will include your name, CACCF credential(s), City, Province with contact information (email, telephone number or both) as shown in this example:

Good Counsellor ICADC, ICCS
123 Any Street
Your Town, PO 1A2 3B4
email@email.ca
www.yourwebsite.ca
123-456-7890

Only Members in good standing will be posted. Members who do not want to be listed, must contact the CACCF office.

Please note that personal websites will be permitted if they are related to a member’s CACCF activity or scope of practice (e.g. private practice, combined practice, related organization, etc.). No advertisements, company logos or other endorsements will be allowed. The CACCF reserves the right to refuse any website link that is not limited to the Members scope of practice or that we deem inappropriate.

We encourage all members to email the CACCF Office as soon as possible if you have updated information, want to change your preferences, include your website or if you DO NOT want to be listed. Email updates or preferences to:

Social Media
The CACCF recognizes the value of Social Media and now has accounts opened on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. Members are encouraged to participate as this gives us a chance to have a voice in the public medium. It also gives the CACCF another method to launch announcements on behalf of our membership and to bring attention to our mission statement and goals:
"The Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation strives to continuously offer the most effective and credible certifications to all addiction specific counsellors in Canada"

CACCF Comes of Age. . . (Computer Based Testing)
Effective April 1st 2012 CACCF examinations will be administered through computer based testing sites across Canada. Exceptions may be made for those in remote areas who can demonstrated undue hardship in attending the testing sites. In that case the pen and paper method will be used. There are distinct advantages to you the candidate:

  • You do not have to wait for the one of the four annual testing dates to write

  • You can schedule at your convenience

  • You will also get an immediate (unofficial) indication of your results (No more waiting for weeks)

You do not have to wait until April to take advantage of the computer based testing, simply contact the office.
